Australia, Jul 15, 2024

Melbourne, Australia – 15 May 2024: Logicalis Australia, a leading provider of global IT solutions and managed services, has announced it has been named Microsoft ANZ 2024 Azure Partner of the Year. This recognition demonstrates Logicalis Australia’s leadership in cloud migration, digital transformation, and collaboration, highlighting the company's ability to deliver innovative and impactful Azure solutions across various industries.

Anthony Woodward, CEO, Logicalis Australia, said, “Logicalis Australia is honoured to receive this award from Microsoft. It’s a testament to the team at Logicalis Australia and their commitment to delivering cutting-edge cloud solutions that drive business value for customers through excellence and acknowledges our long-standing relationship with Microsoft.

“Logicalis’ success is built on a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and the innovative use of Microsoft technologies to solve complex business challenges in a cost-effective, secure and agile way. The Logicalis Australia team is delighted to receive this accolade from Microsoft, having worked tirelessly to achieve this milestone. We remain committed to continuing this journey of excellence and innovation with Microsoft.”

Logicalis Australia was recognised for its success with Western Sydney University (WSU), where it implemented a comprehensive Azure migration solution. Logicalis’s deep understanding of Azure services and commitment to excellence empowered WSU to overcome significant challenges, such as exiting its datacentre within a tight six-month timeframe and modernising its legacy infrastructure. This migration enhanced WSU’s digital capabilities and significantly reduced operational costs and increased business agility. Future expectations of WSU’s return on the investment to migrate to public cloud were a key feature in Logicalis Australia’s design of the compliant, flexible deployment framework used in the project.

Karina Foley, IT Operations Manager, WSU, said, “Logicalis’ winning solution for WSU exemplifies its strategic approach to cloud adoption, leveraging Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework to create a secure, scalable, and futureproof Azure environment. The meticulous planning, detailed analysis, and collaboration with key stakeholders here at WSU ensured a seamless transition and the successful deployment of over 250 production workloads on Azure.”

Microsoft ANZ Chief Partner Officer Vanessa Sorenson shared in a blog recently posted about the Partner of the Year award results; “I’m immensely proud of the work our partners have accomplished this year.
